Bubblemaker
Your first big adventure underwater! 🫧 You head out to the reef by boat, snorkel among colourful fish — and then dive for 30 minutes with your very own instructor. One parent can come along for free.

Swimming skills
Your child should feel comfortable in the water. Confident splashing is enough — they don’t need to swim like a fish yet.
Health
Medical questionnaire before the trip. If any answer is yes (e.g. asthma, frequent ear problems), clearance from a diving medicine doctor is required.
Maximum depth
2 metres — in shallow, sheltered water on the reef
Procedure
Boat trip with a whole hour of one-to-one time — at least 30 minutes of training and preparation on board, then 30 minutes of diving. Snorkelling as much as you like.
Companion
One parent comes along for free. Snorkelling including snorkel gear or — with a diving certification — diving along is included; diving equipment if needed costs €15 extra per day. Please tell us when booking if you want to dive along.
How it works
A day on the boat — and 30 minutes that are yours alone
The Bubblemaker is a real trip out to sea. In the morning we pick you up at your hotel, and then the boat takes you out to a calm, shallow spot on the reef — with a bright sandy bottom and crystal-clear water.
On board you first learn the secret diver language: hand signals you can use to say “All OK!” underwater — and even “hello” to fish, turtles and other sea creatures.
Then things get exciting: at the first stop you snorkel and look at the colourful underwater world from above. At the second stop comes your big moment — you dive for 30 minutes with your very own instructor. Just the two of you, nobody has to wait, and you set the pace. If you want to settle in calmly first, there is always time for that.
And your parents? One parent comes along for free and is close by all day — so afterwards you can tell each other everything you saw.

We pick you up at your hotel and take you to our boat. One parent can come along for free — so you can experience the whole adventure together!
On board
A tasty lunch is waiting for you on the boat, along with refreshing soft drinks.
The secret diver language
Before you go into the water, we let you in on the divers’ secret hand signals — so you can even talk underwater! And you learn how to say “hello” to fish and other sea creatures: every animal has its own sign.
Stop 1: Snorkel time
First you snorkel at the surface and discover the colourful underwater world from above.
Stop 2: Your big diving moment
Now it’s your turn! For 30 minutes you dive with your very own instructor — just the two of you — and explore the secrets of the sea up close.
Your Bubblemaker certificate
At the end you get your very own Bubblemaker certificate. It proves that you are now a real little Bubblemaker! You can proudly show it to everyone at home.
Questions from parents
About the Bubblemaker
Unfortunately not. Eight is the minimum age under PADI standards, and we stick to it without exception. For younger children, snorkelling on the shallow reef is the nicer choice — on the same trip, and often at least as exciting.
No — the Bubblemaker is an experience programme, not a certification course. Instead there is the PADI Bubblemaker certificate, which usually gets a place of honour in the child’s room. A real certification valid worldwide is available from age 10 with the Junior Open Water Diver.
Absolutely — and for free. One parent comes along, also gets lunch and soft drinks and can snorkel as much as they like — snorkel gear included. If you hold a diving certification you can dive along too, also included: either bring your own diving equipment or rent it from us for €15 extra per day. However, you need to tell us when booking if you want to dive along, so we can plan for it. While your child is out with the instructor for their 30 minutes, you can watch or relax on deck. Our experience: children whose parents are relaxed and nearby are more relaxed themselves than those being cheered on from outside.
Because every child has their own pace for their first breath underwater. In a group someone is always waiting — for the child who is still hesitating, or for the instructor who is busy elsewhere. On a one-to-one dive your child gets all the attention: no waiting, no comparisons, all 30 minutes just for your child.
We deliberately choose a shallow, sheltered spot. On the Bubblemaker it never goes deeper than two metres — that is the PADI limit and ours too. The captain decides which spot in the morning, depending on wind and current.
Then we stop. No discussion, no persuading — and you still have the rest of the boat day: snorkelling, sun deck, fish-watching. There is more in our article When your child is afraid. Talk to us beforehand if you think it is likely — then we plan the day differently from the start.
