You do not have to dive to see the Red Sea. The best coral gardens around Hurghada sit so shallow that the colours start right below the surface — mask, snorkel, fins, and the reef does the rest.
Our snorkellers travel on the same boat as our divers, to the same sites. While the divers head down, you swim above the reef — with a guide in the water who shows you where the turtles, rays and morays are.
How the day runs
We pick you up at your hotel in the morning and bring you to Hurghada Marina. We cast off shortly after 9; depending on the site, the crossing to the first reef takes 30 to 60 minutes.
After the safety briefing we fit your equipment and you go in over the swim ladder. Once you are back on board there is a hot lunch, then we move on to a second reef. We are back in the harbour in the late afternoon.
Who it is for
Anyone from the age of 6. No experience is needed and you do not have to be a strong swimmer — buoyancy vests are on board, and our guide stays next to you in the water for as long as you want him there.
Families are more than welcome: while some of you dive, the others snorkel over the same reef. In the evening you all tell the same stories.
