Middle Reef is a very big and round reef with a lot of small, narrow ergs at the south-east side. It is between 90 minutes and 2 hours far from Safaga. At the north- and west side there are coral garden which are falling off till 30 m. In the south is a lonely erg in around 20 m depth. At the east side extend a broad plateau nearly 500 m far to Hal-Hal. It is covered with one of the most beautiful hard coral garden in the Red Sea. You can find also a steep slope but he is very far away in the north-east from the main reef.On the way to the dive site you will cross the waves with the boat so strong that the boat will started to roll. If you are one time there then you are very good protected at the berth. Currents are coming nearly always from the north and they staggering from weak until very strong.
